Before my trip, I had pictured a grim camping scenario—a cramped, grimy tent with nothing but hard ground to sleep on, no basic amenities, and certainly no proper meals. I even packed a sleeping bag, bracing myself for chilly nights in the wilderness. But reality blew my expectations away! The tent was massive—spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with a comfy bed, private toilet, sparkling sink, and steaming hot showers 😭.

I’d read horror stories about the food on Xiaohongshu, so I came prepared with stacks of plain bread, just in case. Imagine my surprise when the restaurant served juicy watermelon, tender tomato-braised beef brisket, and a whole spread of mouthwatering dishes! And as if that wasn’t magical enough, right outside my tent, a playful family of monkeys swung by—pure, unfiltered joy! This trip turned out to be nothing short of paradise.
