Honest Tips for Traveling on a Tight Budget in Kenya: Save Money Now!
Anyone who has visited Kenya can attest that the saying “Africa is not for budget travel” holds a lot of truth. If you’re planning a trip on a shoestring budget, I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s best to reconsider your plans as soon as possible!

1. Accommodation: The lodging options in Kenya are vastly different from what you might find in China. Only 4-5 star hotels offer a comfortable stay. Other accommodations often fall short, and a poor night’s sleep can leave you too exhausted to enjoy the wildlife during the day.
2. Group Size: It’s ideal to travel in groups of fewer than six people.

Most safari vehicles are modified from 9-seater cars, and having too many people can significantly hinder the viewing experience.
3. Self-Driving: Self-driving is not advisable, as national parks only permit operational vehicles with authorized guides.
