Is Anyone Studying Abroad in Kamchatka? Share Your Experiences and Tips!
No, there isn’t. There’s only one technical college in the area.
However, I do have friends who live in Kamchatka 🧑🤝🧑. Ever since I stumbled upon a post about it on Little Red Book, my curiosity was piqued. I immediately opened HelloTalk to explore the map and see if there were any locals I could connect with.

Fascinated by Kamchatka, I reached out to my friend and asked for numerous photos to get a glimpse into their daily life. Kamchatka is a remote and enchanting region of Russia, where the name itself, in Russian, means “a distant land.” It lies 7,000 kilometers away from the bustling capital, Moscow 🇷🇺.

The Kamchatka Peninsula remained sealed off from the rest of the world for over 70 years, only opening up after the dissolution of the Soviet Union 🔒. This isolation has shrouded the area in an air of mystery.
In my next post, I’ll delve into Anadyr, a place even further east than Kamchatka…
