From March to May, Vietnam is a time of fewer tourists and beautiful scenery. I’ve put together a travel guide for Vietnam late at night for my fellow travelers. If you’re planning a trip to Vietnam soon but don’t have a specific plan, be sure to keep this note handy!
Pre-travel tips:
Passport: Valid for more than 6 months, no damage
Visa application: Before planning your trip to Vietnam, don’t forget to get your e-visa! It usually takes 3-5 days.
Landing visa: A pre-approval letter is required for a landing visa.
E-visa: You can apply from home, fill out the form (instructions at the end of the images), simple and convenient, highly recommended!
Regarding the visa, I applied for an e-visa, just need to prepare your passport + photo, the process is simple. It’s recommended to apply before traveling. Upon arrival, just exchange the printed e-visa for a paper visa, avoiding long queues and zero communication, smooth entry.
Cost of living
The most expensive city in Vietnam is Ho Chi Minh City, but overall, it’s comparable to the cost of living in a third-tier city in China, making it a high-value-for-money tourist destination. Generally, for two people traveling in Vietnam for 7 days with moderate requirements, about 3000 RMB per person is sufficient.
Pre-travel preparation:
Original passport, visa, flight tickets, hotel reservations, umbrella, common medications, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, power bank, and arrange a SIM card or internet card and credit card in advance.

Hanoi: The capital of Vietnam, an ancient capital with a blend of history and modernity.
Halong Bay: Known as the Guilin on the sea, with over 1600 uniquely shaped islands and beautiful scenery.
Sapa: Strong French and European colonial cultural influence, unique Black Hmong ethnic style, pleasant highland climate.
Da Nang: Ling Co Bay, Hai Van Pass, Ba Na Hills, My Khe Beach, a perfect place for leisure and vacation.
Hoi An: Ancient charm, lantern-lit nights, colorful lanterns decorating the old town.
Hue: An ancient, poetic city in Vietnam, with grand architecture and historical imprints.
Nha Trang: Beach resort, white sand, soft beach, clear seawater, a paradise for diving enthusiasts.
At the end of the images, I’ve compiled the process for applying for a Vietnamese e-visa. I couldn’t figure it out online all day, but with the instructions at the end of the images, it only took 3 minutes, incredibly convenient! Tried and tested, highly recommended!
