Discover Danang: Vietnam’s Seaside Gem with a Touch of Southern France Charm
When you think of Vietnam, the iconic destinations that typically spring to mind are Hanoi, Saigon, and Nha Trang. Interestingly, Da Nang, the fourth largest city in Vietnam, often flies under the radar. Admittedly, I was even unsure how to pronounce “Da Nang” at first [Facepalm].

To be honest, my initial motivation for visiting Da Nang was the allure of the water coconut forest and the unique basket boats in nearby Hoi An. Little did I know, Da Nang would surprise me with its charm. My Khe Beach, renowned as one of the world’s top six beaches 🏖️, truly lives up to its reputation.

The value for money in Da Nang is exceptional. For around 300 RMB per person, you can enjoy a stay at a seaside hotel right next to the beach. With such a stunning coastline, you could easily spend the entire day lounging by the sea. The local cuisine and drinks are also incredibly affordable; a delicious bowl of pho costs less than 12 RMB. It’s no wonder Westerners find such joy in exploring Southeast Asia [Thumbs Up].

Next on my itinerary is a trip to Hoi An, where I’ll experience the thrill of riding a basket boat and marvel at the enchanting river lanterns [Party].
