‼️All the hostels are centrally located, close to major attractions, and offer free luggage storage. If you arrive early after a night bus, you can drop off your luggage and freshen up at the hostel. You can also store your luggage here after check-out and retrieve it when you return from sightseeing.
‼️Hostels in Vietnam must be booked in advance! Affordable and highly-rated hostels are very popular, and it’s unlikely to find availability if you book on the same day or just one day in advance (don’t ask why I switched between three hostels in Hanoi; it was because I didn’t book in advance [Facepalm].
Booking in advance usually means lower prices).
‼️You don’t need to bring too many toiletries. Most of the hostels I stayed in provided shampoo and body wash, and some even offered toothbrushes and toothpaste.
‼️The beds in the hostels have curtains, providing a bit of privacy. Don’t be afraid to stay in a mixed dorm; just pull the curtain and you’ll have your own cozy space.
