Vietnam Travel: Craving a Bowl of Authentic Pho, Ready to Book My Flight Back

After trying several very famous pho places in Hanoi, coming to Hoi An made me realize the unique craftsmanship of this bowl of pho 🍜

During my few days in Hoi An, I came for a bowl of pho every morning 🥢, and the owner could tell that I really enjoyed their place.
🥸 Owner: “Many locals from Hanoi come specifically to eat their pho.”
🤓 Me: “Coincidentally, I’ve tried many pho places in Hanoi recommended by locals, but I still think the broth of Hoi An’s pho is fresher and sweeter.

”
🥸 Owner: “There are many family lineages of pho, and everyone believes their lineage is the best, so each pho will be different. At their place, to maintain consistency, the broth is made by the boss, Linh, every day.”

The pho in Hanoi (with only scallions and cilantro) may have slightly better portions and varieties of beef, but I believe the soul of pho lies in the broth and the large bunch of fresh herbs. So, I give full marks to Hoi An’s Com Linh.

Phở Lý Quốc Sư: A place where big bosses drive their BMWs and Mercedes to eat in the morning; I even saw many Vietnamese officers eating there at noon 👮♂️
Phở Thìn Bờ Hồ: A small shop frequented by many locals, though the environment is a bit rough.
