Malaysia’s New Entry Rules Explained: Visa Exemption Details and Travel Tips
📌 Visa-free reminder: Malaysia is now visa-free! However, it doesn’t mean you can just grab your passport and go. Don’t forget to fill out the electronic entry card MDAC; otherwise, you might be asked to fill it out on the spot during entry. To avoid last-minute chaos and network issues, get familiar with the filling guide in advance!

👉 No worries if you don’t understand English. At the end of the picture, I’ve shared a Chinese version of the MDAC entry card filling guide. Using the mobile visa service, you won’t have to worry about making mistakes. See the picture for details!
🌈 Pre-entry checklist:
1⃣ Passport: Valid for at least 6 months, undamaged, new passports are also acceptable.
2⃣ MDAC Entry Card: Fill it out 3 days in advance. The Chinese version tutorial is at the end of the picture.
3⃣ Hotel itinerary & return flight ticket: Electronic versions are fine, as they will be checked upon departure from the country.
🌈 Detailed Chinese filling guide for the Malaysian entry card:
1. Open Alipay, search for “mobile visa”
2. Click on Malaysia entry and proceed
3. Fill in the trip information, take a photo or scan the passport to automatically fill in personal information, then click submit
4. Click add, you can also fill in the entry cards for family and friends, including children
5. You will then receive the Malaysian entry card, see the picture for detailed instructions
⚠️ Common issues:
📌 Fill out the entry card three days before departure (including the day of departure), otherwise, you won’t be able to select the entry date 📅‼
📌 Save it on your phone, or print it out as a backup. Using the mobile visa service at the end of the picture, you can fill it out 30 days in advance
📌 For the Malaysian address, you can use the hotel address, or for transit, use the airport address
📌 During the CHECK REGISTRATION page, human verification is required.

📌 If unable to complete the machine verification, use the mobile visa service at the end of the picture. No verification is needed, and after filling out, you can download the PDF file of the entry card. It’s tested and works well.
🌈 About payment:
1⃣ No need to exchange money to Malaysian Ringgit before entering. Just bring some cash from your home country
2⃣ Upon arrival at major airports in Malaysia, you can exchange currency. Just prepare your UnionPay card
