Reasons to avoid:

The scenery of the small islands is average. The time for island hopping is limited, with about 40 minutes allocated for each island. There’s no time to enjoy properly; you basically take two photos after getting off the boat and then prepare to leave for the next island [SmileR].
2. The experience of snorkeling and fishing is poor.
The water quality at the snorkeling spot is not good, and with limited time, it’s basically just swimming. More time is given for fishing, but there are very few fish in the area.
3. The so-called seafood BBQ is just a group meal at a food stall. There’s no BBQ experience. The skewers taste okay, but the crabs are not fresh.
Just look and see.

[OneR] Wet Rice Island is the most scenic of the small islands. Snorkeling also takes place here. The island is not large, and the water quality is average. You can’t see much while snorkeling. It’s more suitable for lying on the beach and daydreaming.
However, the time to play on the island is only 40 minutes (Figure 3).
[TwoR] Pregnant Maiden Island is a big pitfall.βοΈThe consumption on the island is very expensive, and there are many monkeys. The main attraction of Pregnant Maiden Island is the freshwater lake where you can kayak. An additional ticket is required for the freshwater lake, 20 RM per person, and life jackets are 5 RM per person.
Using the toilet on the island costs 1 RM per person. Other food and drinks are even more expensive. The main focus is on spending money [SmileR]. The key point is that the total time to play on the island is only 40 minutes. Going to the freshwater lake requires hiking up the mountain, which takes 20 minutes.
With the time for purchasing tickets and preparation, there’s no time left for playing, so we gave up and just played at the foot of the mountain. Apart from jet skis and watching monkeys, there’s nothing to do. It’s also very noisy with many people [FacepalmR] (Figures 5-7).
[ThreeR] Lion Island mainly involves watching eagles from the boat.
Then, you go to a fishing area. The time given for fishing is also about 40 minutes. There are many boats and few fish. The fishing equipment is simple, just a fishing line [SmileR].
[FourR] Crystal Island is the small island where lunch is served. The so-called BBQ is just a food stall buffet. The hygiene conditions don’t look great, but I have a strong stomach and didn’t feel unwell after eating.
The free drinks provided are only pineapple beer and cola powder mixed with flat cola.
You can use your mealtime to daydream on the benches in front of the island [LaughCryR] (as shown in Figure 1).

After being closed during the pandemic, it has now reopened but with a daily limit on the number of visitors. To ensure you donβt miss out, make sure to book your visit well ahead of time!
