Discover How Two Budget Travelers Spent 3 Days in Bali for Only $2000
The King of Cost-Performance for a Romantic Getaway! In Bali, we indulged in spa treatments, explored lush rice fields, watched mesmerizing fire dances, met playful monkeys, swung on the famous swings, and savored meals at the best restaurants. All this for just around 400 USD for three days in Ubud 🥹

Itinerary as follows:

DAY 1
🚩Ubud Airbnb: We stayed in a private villa with a natural jungle bathroom, a large bathtub, and fresh coconuts provided by the host 🥥. The room was spotlessly clean, and daily cleaning and warm greetings from the host made our stay even more delightful.
🚩Famous Swings: We visited Tegallalang Rice Field and Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, where the sunset views over the rice fields and volcanoes were breathtaking. There are also scenic hiking trails and excellent dining options nearby.

🚩Dinner at Naughty Nuri’s: After exploring the vibrant Ubud center, which is much more charming in the evening, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Naughty Nuri’s.

DAY 2
🚩Yoga Barn: We started the day with yoga and meditation at Yoga Barn. They offer a variety of classes, so it’s best to arrive half an hour early to secure your spot.
🚩Brunch at Pison: The food was exquisite, and the picturesque setting was perfect for photos. Many influencers were capturing the moment here.

From Yoga Barn, we walked to Pison and then to the Monkey Forest.
🚩Evening Fire Dance: At Puri Dalem Ubud, we witnessed a captivating fire dance. It’s recommended to buy tickets in advance, as street vendors often sell out. The show starts at 7:30 PM.
🚩Dinner at Batubara: This was the highlight of our culinary journey.

We enjoyed high-quality steaks 🥩, raw beef tartare, desserts, and drinks, all for less than 200 USD 😱. A truly unforgettable meal!

DAY 3:
🚩Botanical Spa: We booked a 6-hour package at Botanical Spa, and it was pure bliss! Being pampered all day was a fantastic way to relax. It’s advisable to book two weeks in advance to secure your spot.
🚩Canggu and Uluwatu: We used Grab to head to Canggu and Uluwatu for some surfing, beach time, and watching the sunset. More details in the next post.

🔸Travel Tips: ✈️To get to Ubud, head to the Grab pick-up point after exiting the airport. Evening traffic can be heavy, so the journey takes about two hours and costs around 200 RMB.
✅Renting a scooter (locally called a scooter) 🏍️ is highly recommended. Our Airbnb provided a scooter, which made getting around Ubud incredibly convenient.
✅There are no traffic lights, and drivers can be quite reckless, so exercise caution. However, riding a scooter and feeling the wind in your hair is an exhilarating experience 😆
❌Be aware that scooters can also be unsafe, especially when traveling to Denpasar, where security is not as good. Tourists may be targeted, so stay vigilant.
