-Day Indonesia Tour with Komodo Island Day Trip Adventure

Our day began with a prompt 6:20 AM pickup from the homestay, arranged by the travel agency, to take us to the dock. The homestay thoughtfully provided a takeaway breakfast, and there were also two charming little coffee shops at the dock where you could grab a quick coffee and some fresh bread. By 7:00 AM, everyone was assembled, and we set off on our sea adventure.

The boat was well-equipped, offering water, cola, a variety of fruits, biscuits, toast, and boxed lunches (with options for chicken, fish, or vegetarian, confirmed the day before). Snorkeling gear and life jackets were provided, though it’s recommended to bring your own disposable mouthpieces. Our journey included six stops, and we returned to the dock by around 4:00 PM.

The crew was incredibly enthusiastic and friendly; the only minor letdown was the somewhat lackluster lunch [Facepalm R], but the overall experience was fantastic.

📍Padar Island – A real-life Zelda P1-5
The scenery is breathtaking, but the mountain climb is quite challenging. According to the crew, this stop is usually first because the heat intensifies as the day progresses. Waking up at 5 AM to tackle the mountain was exhausting, and we had to pause frequently to catch our breath. The round trip took about 1.5 hours, but the panoramic views from the top were absolutely worth the effort [Sun R].

📍Pink Beach – Truly pink P6-11
The beach lives up to its name, with a visibly pink hue that is truly enchanting. The sand is soft and inviting, and the seawater is crystal clear. Walking along the shore was a soothing and delightful experience.

📍Komodo National Park P12-16
The entrance fee, 400K per person, must be paid in cash. The main attraction here is the legendary Komodo dragons, which are actually giant lizards. You can usually spot them, but the number varies. We were quite fortunate to see about 8 of them, including both males and females, adults, and juveniles.

It’s said that the previous day, someone saw only 1-2. Upon entering the park, each group is assigned two dedicated guides, one leading and one at the rear. It’s crucial to stay close behind the guide and not fall behind, as Komodo dragons can run up to 20 km/h and are known to attack lone prey.

📍Crescent Bay
This was our first snorkeling spot, with shallow, crystal-clear waters. Even non-swimmers would feel comfortable here, making it a perfect start for beginners.

📍Manta Point
The water here is deeper, with a deep blue hue and larger waves. The crew led the group, ensuring everyone stayed together. Although I didn’t get into the water, my companions reported seeing manta rays, adding to the excitement of the trip.

📍The last snorkeling spot
I’m not sure of its name [Laughing and Crying R], but it’s another location with deep water and big waves. My teammates mentioned spotting turtles, making it a memorable end to our snorkeling adventures.
