Komodo Island Hopping: The Ultimate Adventure Guide to Exploring Real-World Tropical Wonders
I absolutely adore Komodo! It’s like stepping into a real-life Jurassic world, fulfilling all my fantasies about this incredible blue planet.

🛫 Transportation: Fly from Bali with round-trip tickets for under $1000. Don’t forget to check in online (you can download the Bookcabin app in advance for convenience).

🏠 Accommodation: I highly recommend Seaesta! For less than $200 per person, you get an amazing environment and top-notch service. The rooftop terrace offers a stunning view of the deep blue Bluehour after sunset. Enjoy a pool, live band, billiards, delicious food, and refreshing drinks for a truly magical evening.

⛵️ Sea Excursions: You can follow a fixed itinerary by booking with a travel agency. We chartered a speedboat for six people, accompanied by three staff members, which included lunch and snacks. The cost was around $850 per person (boat rental $645 + 500,000 IDR for the ticket), which felt just right. We visited five spots, departing at 6:45 am and returning by 3:30 pm, catching the 5:35 pm flight back.

🔲 Padar Island (hiking to see beautiful scenery, 1h)
– This island is a true gem, reminiscent of a real-life Zelda landscape. Hiking with the warm sun on your back is pure bliss. The rolling green hills and twin bays set against the sea and mountains create a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

🔲 Pink Beach (45 mins)
– A unique pink beach formed by coral and a jelly-like sea, it’s incredibly beautiful to the naked eye. The sand is very fine and feels wonderful underfoot.

🔲 Komodo Island (seeing Komodo dragons in Komodo National Park, 1h)
– Follow the safety officer to search for Komodo dragons and their babies. You can see the tracks left by their crawling, but it’s best to avoid midday as they are quite lazy during that time.

🔲 Manta Point (snorkeling to see manta rays, 30 mins)
– The waves here are big, so follow the crew to snorkel and chase the manta rays. They appear and disappear quickly, so be swift when you spot them!

🔲 Taka Makassar (snorkeling or resting on the beach, 1h)
– Dive into the jelly-like sea, explore the corals, and meet various Nemos and colorful fish schools. Bring some cookies, and the fish will gently nibble at your hands. Underwater, you’ll find many beautiful starfish and sea urchins. The colorful fish and crystal-clear waters make for a mesmerizing experience.
