First Impressions and Must-See Spots Upon Arriving in Hobart
Traveling from the bustling streets of Melbourne to the serene landscapes of Hobart, I was struck by the profound quietness that enveloped the city. The beauty of the scenery, with its strong winds and picturesque views, is undeniable, but the near-deserted streets, even in the heart of the city, left me feeling a bit restless.

Most shops here close their doors by 5:30 PM, or even earlier, creating an atmosphere that, while peaceful, felt a tad too isolated for my liking. As an introvert, I still crave the occasional sight and sound of life around me; otherwise, it can get a little too melancholic [crying laughing emoji][crying laughing emoji].

In contrast, Melbourne, with its constant tram bells ringing through the air and the vibrant crowds on the streets, exudes a lively energy. Even though the malls generally shut down by 7 PM, the city remains a hive of activity, with people bustling about. Perhaps it’s also because I’m accustomed to the lively, bustling scenes in China, where the presence of people and vehicles is ever-present. The sudden shift to a quieter, more subdued environment leaves me with a sense of emptiness.
