Queenstown Paragliding and Luge Adventure: Ultimate NZ Fun Experience
The last day in New Zealand, with clear skies and sunshine! It was also the happiest day in Queenstown! Everyone who comes to Queenstown must reserve half a day to visit Skyline – cable car🚠 + paragliding🪂 + luge🛴 all in one!

These three activities are all at Skyline, which is a 5-7 minute walk from the Queenstown commercial street. For paragliding and luge, you need to take the cable car to the halfway up the mountain. Here are some tips for visiting and buying tickets!
[One R] Cable car🚠 + luge🛴 combo ticket
🎫: Bought a round-trip cable car + 5 rounds of luge on 🍑, averaging 355 per person! No need to book in advance, just bring the confirmation letter and exchange it at the counter.
⌛️: The queue for the luge can be quite long! Especially for the first round (queue on the left inspection channel to learn how to play), it took at least 40 minutes.
After that, you can queue on the right regular channel for the subsequent rounds, which will be much faster.
⏰: The cable car operating hours are 9:30-21:00, and the luge operating hours are generally 10:00-19:00.
🐎: If you do paragliding first, the staff will stamp your hand when checking the ticket.
Just show this to the cable car attendant, and you don’t need to buy another cable car ticket to go up for the luge.
[Golden Potato R]: I have to say, the luge is so much fun! I played it during sunset, and it really felt like a sunset ride, absolutely beautiful and joyful!

🎫: You must book in advance, especially during holidays, to ensure you get the time slot you want.
💰: Booking on the official website costs 320 NZD per person, but it’s a bit cheaper on 🍑. The official will notify you in advance based on the weather conditions whether you can fly.
If you haven’t received a text or email, you can call to ask. Cancellations due to weather can be rescheduled or refunded without charge.
⏰: If you want to experience it during sunset, choose an evening time, it’s absolutely stunning. The flight lasts about 10 minutes.

Take off downhill from the halfway up the mountain. It was my first time, but I felt no discomfort at all, from takeoff to landing, everything was very smooth, with no sense of weightlessness, go for it 🐛! If you want something more thrilling, communicate with the instructor to add some skills, if you want it to be more peaceful, just tell the instructor “peace & gentle”!
📷: The instructor will take photos and videos with a GoPro during the process, so manage your expressions well [Embarrassed R]. It costs 80 NZD per person (you can try to bargain, my friend and I got it for 60 NZD each when we bought two).
It’s a bit of a pity that I didn’t challenge skydiving this time, I’ll come back next time [Party R]!
