Gear Recommendations
Hardshell jacket: Windproof and waterproof, as the weather on the mountain can change rapidly.
Trekking poles: Can reduce knee pressure and improve stability on descents.
Water and food: Each person should carry at least 1.5L-2L of water, as there are no resupply points. High-energy foods like nuts and chocolate are recommended.

Medicine: Given the complex terrain, it is advisable to carry sprays for bruises and band-aids.
Sun protection: High SPF sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are essential, as New Zealand has strong UV rays.
Comfortable hiking shoes: Slip-resistant, waterproof, and ankle-protecting, suitable for gravel paths and steep slopes.
