Explore Ushuaia in a Day: Your Ultimate End of the World Travel Guide
Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world and the one farthest from China, is often referred to as “the end of the world.” This unique location serves as the primary departure point for most Antarctic expeditions, making it a well-known destination for adventurers and explorers.

Despite its small size, Ushuaia offers a wealth of experiences that can be fully enjoyed in just a day of leisurely exploration. Here are some must-visit photo spots:

📸 **Recommended Photo Spots:**
📍 **Cartel Ushuaia** – A massive letter logo of the city, perfect for capturing iconic photos.
📍 **Playa** – Adjacent to the city’s letter logo, this long breakwater provides a stunning backdrop of the city skyline, port, and snow-capped mountains.
📍 **Escaleras de la Calle J.

M Rosas** – A vibrant yellow staircase viewing platform that offers a panoramic view of the city and the church.
📍 **Penguin Mural (Wall Art)** – A charming penguin-themed wall, surrounded by souvenir shops where you can pick up mementos.
📍 **Puerto Comercial Ushuaia** – The bustling port where all cruise ships dock.

At night, the city lights create a magical atmosphere, ideal for night photography.
❗️ **Final Tip!!** – If you’re heading to Antarctica, don’t miss the opportunity to take breathtaking photos from the deck of your ship!

🍽️ **Restaurants:**
📍 **Old Captain** – A popular spot, but be prepared for long queues. We found it too crowded on our first visit, and it was closed the next day, so we couldn’t try it. Note: It’s closed on Saturday evenings and Sundays.
📍 **Bamboo Chinese Restaurant** – Enjoy a buffet for around 30 USD per person, featuring a variety of main dishes, stir-fries, and roasted meats like whole roasted lamb, beef, and sausages.

King crab is available separately, with smaller ones priced at 120 USD each. For an additional 10 USD, they can be prepared with scallions and ginger or in a spicy style. While slightly pricier than Old Captain, the quality and variety make it worth the extra cost.
📍 **Casimiro Biguá Parrilla** – Located next to Old Captain, this restaurant specializes in whole roasted lamb.

Ordering a lamb for two is usually sufficient and comes with delicious pre-meal bread served with garlic cream and lamb sauce.
