Discover Ushuaia: Your Gateway to Exploring Antarctica from South America
Across the vast expanse of time and space, you finally reach the edge of the world—Ushuaia.
💙 Ushuaia, the capital of Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego, is often referred to as the southernmost city in the world, a place where the earth seems to end. Here, you can discover the lighthouse at the end of the world, the post office at the end of the world, the train station at the end of the world, and even the museum at the end of the world.

..
🇦🇷 This remote location is a long journey from China, yet it’s just a stone’s throw from Antarctica. It serves as the departure point for many Antarctic cruises, making it a gateway to the icy continent 🚢

🌈 Despite its small size, Ushuaia is packed with charm. The main thoroughfare, San Martin Avenue (Avenida San Martin), is lined with an array of shops, restaurants, and souvenir stores. Spend a leisurely half-day exploring this unique city, soaking in the romantic solitude that comes with being at the end of the world ❤️

🚗 In the afternoon, take a scenic drive to Tierra del Fuego National Park and board the steam train at the world’s southernmost train station 🚂. A century ago, this train carried prisoners who were exiled here to cut wood and perform labor. Today, visitors can snap photos with staff dressed in period prisoner uniforms, adding a touch of historical intrigue 📷

📮 Unfortunately, the quaint old post office was closed on the day we visited. It was a real letdown not being able to send a postcard from the world’s southernmost post office, but the surrounding natural beauty made up for it 🏞

❤️ I fell in love with this southernmost town. It’s the end of the world, but also a place where new adventures begin ~
