Best Unique Souvenirs to Buy in Ushuaia, Argentina for Travelers
First, I recommend two souvenir shops: Figure 1 and Figures 2-3.
💖 The clothing in Figure 1 is truly eye-catching, all adorned with the iconic Ushuaia logo. You can freely touch and try them on—a rare treat in Ushuaia, where many souvenir shops have a strict no-touch policy. However, it’s worth noting that the overall quality of clothing in Ushuaia can be somewhat hit or miss.

💖 Figures 2-3 showcase the same shop, with one location right in the heart of San Martin and another a bit off the beaten path but offering a larger selection. This shop boasts an extensive range of souvenirs, and you’ll find some of the best deals on postcards in town. They also stock incredibly adorable children’s socks, though it’s important to check the quality.

I was tempted to buy a few pairs, but after feeling the inside, I found them to be a bit rough.
💖 Figures 4-5 highlight a charming handicraft shop near the bus terminal, brimming with unique, locally-made items. It’s a treasure trove for those looking for authentic, handcrafted souvenirs.
💖 Figure 6 features a certificate collected at the tourist center, where you can also pick up maps and get your postcards stamped.

It’s a great way to commemorate your visit!
💖 Figures 7-8 show grape vinegar and mate tea, both recommended by the friendly staff at the local supermarket. These are perfect for bringing a taste of Ushuaia back home.
💖 If you’re looking for a more diverse shopping experience, Buenos Aires might be the place to go.

A friend from there suggested checking out mate tea, Havanna chocolate, red wine, coffee, and sauces. These items are not only delightful but also more budget-friendly compared to Ushuaia. Although I didn’t have the chance to explore the shops in Buenos Aires, it’s definitely worth setting aside some time to discover the city’s vibrant offerings!
