Iguazu Falls Travel Guide: Explore the Breathtaking Waterfalls & Hidden Gems

Standing in front of this majestic waterfall, you truly grasp the meaning of “nature’s masterpiece.”
📍Location:
Nestled on the border of Argentina and Brazil, we explored the Brazilian side this time, flying directly into the charming town of Foz do Iguaçu.

This natural wonder is composed of 275 individual waterfalls, stretching an impressive 2700 meters wide—four times broader than Niagara Falls!
🌎Comparison of experiences on both sides:
Brazilian side 👉 Offers a panoramic view that is simply awe-inspiring.
Argentine side 👉 Allows you to walk right up to the top of Devil’s Throat for a thrilling experience.

We came across strong recommendations on Xiaohongshu to visit both sides, but unfortunately, we didn’t have an Argentine visa! Interestingly, it’s possible to visit the Brazilian side visa-free if you’re already in Argentina!
💦About the water volume:
Even though it wasn’t the peak rainy season with the maximum water flow, the thunderous roar of the cascading water was still deafening.

Unlike the murky waters often seen in movies, the water here was remarkably clear and pristine.
🌈Lucky day:
We were blessed with a single rainbow arching over the falls in the morning, and to our delight, a double rainbow appeared in the evening!
🚤Must-try activity: The Macuco Safari boat ride on the Brazilian side is a must!

At 380 reais per person, it offers about 30 minutes of exhilarating fun, though the actual duration can vary depending on the queue. We waited for two hours, but it was worth every minute! 😢

• Morning light is perfect for capturing stunning panoramic shots.
• In the afternoon, use the backlight to beautifully capture rainbows.
