For an unforgettable boat ride to the waterfall, head to Gran Aventura Jungle, the exclusive operator for this thrilling experience. Just outside the park entrance, on the right, you’ll find a helpful counter where you can gather some essential information.

The official ticket booth is located inside the park, offering tickets at 75,000 pesos each, with the convenience of credit card payments. Once you’ve secured your ticket, make your way to the assembly point, where a vibrant yellow truck will transport you to the dock. Before setting sail, you’ll be provided with life jackets and a large, bright yellow waterproof bag (be prepared for a slight odor, so handle with care).

⌚️ Time arrangement
The entire adventure, from hopping on the truck to returning, spans approximately two hours. We boarded the truck around 1 PM and wrapped up our journey by 3 PM. After disembarking, there’s a brief walk to the train station. The last train to Devil’s Throat departs between 3:30-40 PM, and we managed to catch it just in time!

🎒 Essential gear for the boat ride
If there’s one item you absolutely need, it’s swimming goggles! The experience is like stepping into a powerful shower, with water spraying like a high-pressure water gun. I was wearing contact lenses, and thankfully, they stayed put.
👗 Dressing tips: If you don’t have a raincoat, consider wearing a swimsuit for maximum comfort!

Alternatively, quick-dry shorts are a great option. Avoid cotton, as it becomes heavy and uncomfortable when wet.
🧢 Changing facilities: There are changing rooms available after the ride (I wish I had known this earlier). However, the sun is so intense that you can dry off quite quickly, making extra clothes less of a necessity.

As we reached Devil’s Throat, the sky darkened dramatically, with ominous clouds gathering above. The heavens opened, and a cold rain began to fall, while the warm mist from the waterfall rose to meet it. These contrasting streams of water converged in front of us, creating a breathtaking spectacle that felt like a clash of the elements. This moment was truly awe-inspiring, a testament to the incredible power and beauty of nature!
