Before my trip, I was curious about what the Black Glacier actually was. It turned out to be a majestic volcano 🌋, with its slopes cloaked in dark, volcanic rock. The glacier, tinted by the surrounding terrain, only had two small ice blocks 🧊 floating on the lake, which was a bit of a surprise. This place is incredibly remote.

We set off at 8:00 AM, and the journey was filled with breathtaking sights, including a charming little waterfall and a heart-shaped lake that seemed almost too perfect. Our guide spoke Spanish, chattering away non-stop, but unfortunately, I couldn’t understand a word. We finally arrived after 1:00 PM, having spent three hours driving uphill.
