After a quick stop in Santiago to transfer and store my luggage at the airport, I hopped into an Uber and headed to the city center for a whirlwind tour. My main stops were the iconic Plaza de Armas and the scenic San Cristóbal Hill. Given the safety concerns in the Plaza de Armas area, which many of my friends on Xiaohongshu had flagged, I made sure to travel light, leaving all valuables behind.
