On the first day, after a scenic flight from the capital to Calama Airport, we hopped into a private car that whisked us straight to our accommodation. Our first destination was the awe-inspiring Moon Valley, or Valle de Luna, often described as the place on Earth that most closely resembles Mars. The desert landscape is truly mesmerizing 🏜️. Despite the scorching afternoon sun (even at the end of June), the experience was utterly rewarding. As the sun began to set, the valley transformed into a canvas of stunning beauty, with visitors from around the globe gathering on the hilltops to witness the spectacular sunset and the warm, golden hues of the evening sky.
