Explore Hoi An Ancient Town: Best Historical Sites & Cultural Experiences

20250917 We hopped into a private car, making a swift journey from the scenic Ba Na Hills to the charming town of Hoi An. The feeling was almost like we were on a thrilling escape. Upon arrival at our seaside hotel, we were greeted by an unusually strong wind that seemed to whisper tales of the sea.

The final photo captures a tree, once proud and tall, now felled by the relentless gusts. A sudden typhoon had swept through, adding an unexpected twist to our adventure. Despite the storm, we couldn't resist the allure of Hoi An's ancient town. We delved into the exploration of various historic Chinese structures, including the Chaozhou Assembly Hall, Fujian Assembly Hall, and Guangdong-Guangxi Assembly Hall.

With one ticket, we could choose to visit five different sites, each brimming with rich history and cultural significance.

Seeing familiar Chinese characters brought a sense of comfort, as if we were reconnecting with a part of our heritage. Interestingly, the majority of tourists here are from South Korea 🇰🇷, followed by a diverse mix of visitors from Malaysia, India, and Taiwan.

As night fell, the ancient town transformed into a magical scene. Lanterns lit up the narrow streets, casting a warm, inviting glow. On a rainy evening, the reflections of the lanterns in the wet cobblestones created a mesmerizing display, while illuminated boats glided gracefully through the rain-soaked canals, adding a touch of enchantment to the already picturesque setting.
