We chose May because it offers better value during the rainy season. Although it was the rainy season, we only encountered one hour of rain. The safari was slightly more challenging (taller grass), but we still spotted plenty of animals. With fewer tourists, we got front-row views of the wildlife.

We didn’t buy a local SIM card since hotels provided Wi-Fi, and the tour vehicle also had Wi-Fi (though sometimes unstable).

**[Medication]**
Pack mosquito repellent, anti-diarrheal meds, and motion sickness pills due to rough roads.
Luckily, we were all in good health and didn’t need any of the meds we brought.

**[Clothing]**
For safaris, wear earth tones or natural colors like green.

**[Food]**
Hotels provided three meals a day, with lunch packed as a lunchbox for eating on the savannah. The vehicle had unlimited drinking water, Coke, beer, and red/white wine.

**[Photography]**
We only used iPhone 14, 15, and Samsung Ultra S23 for the entire trip.
Pro tip: Turn on Live Photos to capture more animal moments.
