I would absolutely do this cruise again on my next visit to Argentina! The Captain’s Club is a must-buy. Located at the front of the second deck, it offers an array of complimentary snacks, drinks, and alcohol, including lunch. The highlight is the exclusive deck, private dining room, and terrace, where you can enjoy your meal without the hassle of queuing with regular cabin passengers [shy R].

I chose Patagonia Dreams, and the price difference between a regular cabin (both include hotel transfers) and the Captain’s Club is just 100,000 pesos! With the black market exchange rate, that’s only about 500 RMB per person for an incredible upgrade!!! Unbelievably cost-effective!!! If the Captain’s Club is fully booked when you make your reservation, don’t worry.

When I booked, there were no available seats, but once on board, I asked the crew and found two empty spots, upgrading on the spot for 200,000 pesos. In winter, the lake is filled with ice floes, while in summer, the cruise ventures closer to a larger glacier.

Unfortunately, I was one of the unlucky ones. A blizzard prevented me from seeing the majestic Patagonian peaks. However, the next day was sunny… When booking this tour, be sure to check the weather forecast [petrified R].

This hotel is simply amazing. Nestled by the lake, it offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains. A non-lake view room costs only 700 RMB per night. Although it’s not in the city center, the delicious food at the hotel more than makes up for it [thumbs up R]. The best part is the large hot water pool!!!!!! It’s incredibly warm and refreshing!!!! The front desk also provides currency exchange services.

Look for Taxi Condor, which charges 24,000 pesos for a one-way trip, and a discounted rate of 21,000 pesos for the return journey, payable in cash.
