Discover the Best Chinese Food in Buenos Aires: Must-Try Dishes Four Times a Week
🍴 JuaJua Ramen
📍 Agüero 436, C1171 Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

After a month of exploring South America, JuaJua Ramen stands out as the absolute highlight of my culinary journey! During my week in Buenos Aires, I found myself returning to this gem four times. I ventured into other Korean BBQ, Japanese, and Northwest Chinese restaurants, but they either fell flat or were overpriced.

Despite its name, JuaJua Ramen serves up a delightful array of Jiangxi cuisine. I sampled nearly ten dishes, and with the exception of the pork liver and steamed spare ribs with rice flour, which were just okay, every other dish was an absolute delight!

[Thumbs up] Highly recommended!
[Check-in] Blood duck: Spicy and authentic, a friend from Hunan confirmed its authenticity.
[Check-in] Water spinach: A must-order for every meal, it’s the best vegetable dish I’ve had in South America and perfectly balances the spiciness.
[Check-in] Corn and rib soup: Be sure to arrive early; one time I went around 3 PM and it was already sold out.

[Check-in] Dry-fried green beans: So delicious that three of us polished off the plate.
[Check-in] Stir-fried meat with bamboo shoots and glutinous rice: The connection with glutinous rice is a mystery, but the bamboo shoots are simply fantastic.
[Check-in] Fried noodles: Slightly spicy and bursting with flavor, we devoured every last bite.

[Check-in] Pork trotter noodles: Not very spicy but incredibly flavorful.

💲 In the face of rising prices in Argentina, JuaJua offers exceptional value. Expect to spend around 100 (for a satisfying meal) to 160 (to be fully satiated) per person. WeChat Pay is accepted, and the owner uses a favorable exchange rate of 1:170, making it even more affordable.

💵 If you need to exchange smaller denominations, the owner is happy to help with currency exchange at a fair rate.
