Discover the Breathtaking Beauty of Iguazu Falls Adventure Tours
Everyone heads to Iguazu for the breathtaking waterfalls, with national parks on both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. If your schedule allows, it’s highly recommended to dedicate a full day to each park or at least a day and a half to fully experience both. For those with limited time who still want to visit both parks in a single day, the most efficient way is to hire a car.

Iguazu in Argentina is a quaint town, but it boasts its own airport. Just outside the airport, you can catch a bus to the Iguazu National Park in Argentina, which costs 5500 pesos per person and takes about 15 minutes. If you’re only planning to visit one park, this bus is a convenient option. The airport also has plenty of taxis, with prices ranging from 100 to 200 US dollars.

The pricing can be quite erratic, as drivers aim to maximize their earnings, often finding ways to make extra money from tourists. It’s a one-time deal, so their mindset is somewhat understandable.

The driver we hired is the one shown in the first picture. His English is quite good, allowing for smooth communication. In a country where English is not widely spoken, his language skills are a significant advantage.
Our itinerary was as follows:
– 6:30 AM: Depart from Buenos Aires Airport to Iguazu, Argentina
– 8:30 AM: Arrive at Iguazu Airport, Argentina
– Car rental begins:
– Drive from the Argentine airport to Iguazu, Brazil (about a one-hour drive)
Key point: Despite not having a Brazilian visa, our driver ensured that we could visit Iguazu, Brazil, without any issues.
– Explore the Iguazu National Park in Brazil (entrance fees and boat rides are generally cheaper than in Argentina) until 2 PM, then drive to the Iguazu National Park in Argentina.
– The Iguazu National Park in Argentina closes at 6 PM. First, head to the Devil’s Throat (as shown in the third picture), where the view of the waterfalls is truly spectacular.
– Leave the park at 7 PM, take a 15-minute drive back to Iguazu Airport, and fly back to Buenos Aires.
The total cost for the car rental was 90 US dollars plus a 10 US dollar tip. Personally, I found this to be very reasonable. You can use my experience as a reference when considering hiring a car.
