Discover the Divine Beauty: Exploring Iguazu Falls in God’s Favored Land Brazil
I finally arrived at the waterfall, but I felt sad. Because I always felt that there should be two people standing here. In the movie “Happy Together,” the Iguazu Falls that kept Ho Po-wing longing roars here, and the Itaipu Dam, which spans between Brazil and Paraguay, is located here. This is a border town of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, the city of Foz do Iguaçu.

[Check-in R] Iguazu Falls: A UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and a natural wonder in Civilization 7, the Iguazu River here seems to have been trampled by a horseshoe, forming a multi-level inverted U-shaped waterfall face 4 kilometers wide. At the deepest part of the U-shape is the “Devil’s Throat.

” Since the Iguazu River is the border river between Brazil and Argentina, both countries have their own waterfall parks. From the Argentine side, you can walk on a boardwalk very close to the Devil’s Throat, but the boardwalk maintenance is poor and it is often closed. The boardwalk on the Brazilian side offers more varied angles and better photo opportunities.

No matter how close the boardwalk is, it’s not as close as taking a boat ride under the falls. There is also a boat ride project on the Brazilian side. Riding a rubber raft up the river and feeling the thrill of the waterfall pouring down from above is an absolutely rare life experience. It is recommended to apply sunscreen, change into swimwear, and store all luggage before setting out. (P5-7)

If the budget allows, the Das Cataratas hotel in Iguazu Falls Park is highly recommended. It is the only hotel in the park, allowing you to enjoy the sunrise and sunset of the falls after the park closes. The pink colonial-style building is also very photogenic. (P8)

[Check-in R] Itaipu Dam: A super project on par with the Three Gorges Project, visible from the air on the left side of the flight approach route (P9), providing a massive amount of clean electricity to Brazil and Paraguay. To visit the Itaipu Dam, navigate to Itaipu panoramica. The Itaipu especial tour, which takes 2.5 hours, offers English and Portuguese commentary, and includes visits inside the dam and to its top. (P10-13)

[Check-in R] Bird Park: A zoo that houses flamingos, toucans, and various other South American birds, with the most unforgettable being the huge macaw enclosure. The feathers of the macaws are colorful in the sun, and they occasionally spread their wings and fly over the heads of visitors. If you are brave enough, you can get up close and personal with the macaws. (P14-16)

The macaw plush toy in P17 was photographed in a souvenir shop at the airport. Under its cute appearance, a macaw egg can be pulled out from a zipper at the bottom, and inside the egg, there is a baby macaw. I didn’t buy it at the time, and I regret it to this day [Laughing and Crying R]
