Every May, the enchanting city of Cordoba, Spain, transforms into a floral wonderland as its residents adorn their courtyards with vibrant flowers and exquisite decorations. The entire city becomes a breathtaking sea of blooms, with the sweet fragrance of flowers enveloping this ancient, charming town.

As you wander through any alley, you’ll be greeted by meticulously arranged geraniums adorning doorways and walls, making every corner a delightful sight to behold. During the Courtyard Festival, visitors have the unique opportunity to step into private courtyards, marvel at the floral displays, and engage in friendly conversations with the proud owners.

🚄Transport: While Cordoba Airport is just 6 kilometers from the city center, it offers limited flight options. For a more convenient and scenic journey, trains are the way to go. Daily trains connect Cordoba to Seville, Madrid, Malaga, and Barcelona, with travel times ranging from a few hours to about 5 hours, depending on your starting point.

The iconic “Calle de Los Flores” or Flower Street is a must-visit, where flowers bloom year-round. At the end of the street, a slightly larger square awaits, with the bell tower of the Mosque-Cathedral standing majestically, surrounded by the intoxicating scent of flowers.

🔸Roman Bridge of Cordoba
Built in the 1st century, the Roman Bridge boasts 16 arches and offers one of the most stunning sunset views in Cordoba. Standing at the southern end, you can admire the reflection of the mosque and the ancient bridge, creating a mesmerizing scene. This 2000-year-old bridge also gained fame as a filming location for the popular TV series Game of Thrones.

Nestled on the northern bank of the Roman Bridge, the Cordoba Mosque is a masterpiece of Moorish and Spanish architectural fusion. Constructed in the 8th century, the mosque complex features fountains, porches, and towers, with the Villaviciosa Chapel being the most distinctive and awe-inspiring element.
