Discover the Unmatched Enthusiasm of the Spanish Culture You Can’t Even Imagine
They open their entire courtyard to you with a warm, welcoming smile, no formal greeting needed [Shy R].

The history of the Cordoba Courtyard Festival 🌺 (La fiesta de los Patios de Córdoba) is rich and enduring. Local residents began sharing their courtyards with the public in 1918, and in 2012, it was honored as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Each year, the city government hosts a courtyard competition, featuring 53 competition courtyards and 10 non-competition courtyards (as of 2024).

In these enchanting spaces, flower pots dangle from walls and line cobblestone paths, creating a harmonious interplay of history, light, water, and lush vegetation.

During the Courtyard Festival [Cherry Blossom R], the entire city transforms into a sprawling, vibrant garden. Streets and courtyards are adorned with a profusion of flowers, greenery, and festive decorations. The scene is further enlivened by residents in traditional attire, visitors from around the world, and a variety of celebratory events, painting a dynamic and vivid picture.
