I spent three enchanting days in Ushuaia, strolling along the main street and exploring a variety of charming shops to find the perfect postcards. I also made sure to visit the information center to collect a commemorative certificate and an array of unique stamps. The Tierra del Fuego tour and the three-island sea tour were both unforgettable experiences.

Tips:
1. The Tierra del Fuego tour costs $50 per person (excluding the park entrance fee of $40 per person and the optional small train ride at $60 per person). A knowledgeable guide will take you to several breathtaking points from 8 am to 1 pm, making for a roughly 4-hour adventure. The three-island tour, priced at $60 per person, offers a scenic boat trip from 3 pm to 6 pm, lasting about 3 hours.

2. Personally, I found the highly recommended old captain’s restaurant to be somewhat disappointing; the king crabs were not as plump as expected, and the overall quality was quite average.
3. For the certificate and stamp collection: there are 6 stamps available at the information center, 3 at the post office, and 1 at the End of the World train.

Collecting these makes for a fun and memorable activity.
4. The post office only accepts Argentine pesos in cash for sending postcards, with each card costing 10,000 pesos (you can exchange money at many stores around town). The post office is only responsible for mailing, so you need to buy and write your postcards beforehand, then bring them there to affix the stamps and hand them over to the staff.

It usually takes about 2 months for the postcards to arrive, and the post office closes at 4 pm.
5. The most popular and budget-friendly souvenir shop in town is located opposite the penguin wall (closed from 1 pm to 4 pm for a lunch break). Postcards here cost 800 pesos each, while other shops range from 1200 to 1800 pesos.

6. For a comfortable stay, I recommend Hotel De Los Andes, which offers excellent value, cleanliness, and a delicious breakfast included. Its location on the main street makes it incredibly convenient to explore the town and its attractions.
