Discover Ushuaia: Ultimate Half-Day Tour Guide Experience 🇦🇷
Ushuaia is a charmingly compact city, with just one main street that you can easily stroll from end to end. Taxis are a rare sight, and the journey from the city center to the airport is a quick 10-15 minute drive.

1️⃣ Luggage Storage
1. The official storage point of Aurora Company is conveniently located to the right of Yaghan Hostel. Check out Figure 2 for the exact location.
2. U LOKER, a self-service storage facility, operates 24/7, providing round-the-clock convenience. Refer to Figure 3 for its location.

2️⃣ Currency Exchange
There’s only one official currency exchange in the entire city, situated next to the hotel. The exchange rates are fair, so don’t forget to bring your passport. See Figure 4 for the location.

3️⃣ Stamping
1. The tourist center in the heart of the city offers free stamping with six unique designs. Don’t miss out on this delightful souvenir! See Figure 5 for more details.
2. The central post office, shown in Figure 6, used to offer two stamps, but unfortunately, they no longer do. If you plan to send postcards, note that they only accept Argentine pesos—US dollars and credit cards are not accepted.

We’ve heard that some people have sent postcards for as much as $9 each, which is quite steep.

4️⃣ Attractions
Explore these must-see spots by searching their names on Google Maps:
1. End of the World Sign: Figure 6
2. Penguin Wall: Figure 7
3. Ushuaia Landmark: Figure 8

5️⃣ Souvenir Shops
1. For more exquisite and high-quality items, head to The Tourist Box, though be prepared for higher prices.
2. For more budget-friendly and touristy items, Monte Olivia Souvenir is a great option. Located opposite the Penguin Wall, it offers cheaper prices, and paying in US dollars can be more advantageous. However, they are a bit stingy with packaging, providing only one paper bag regardless of the number of items purchased.

6️⃣ Restaurant to Avoid ❌
La Casa de Los Mariscos
We skipped the Old Captain and opted for this nearby spot for crabs, but it was a disappointing experience. The king crab and seafood pasta we ordered were both unpalatable, with a strong fishy smell. The service was almost non-existent, and the food took forever to arrive. Despite the staff’s reminders, the poor experience led us to forgo tipping.
