Discovering Tigre Town: A Unique Day Trip Adventure from Buenos Aires
Whenever I’m at a loss for where to spend my weekends and the bustling city has worn me out, I yearn for a serene escape. Recently, Tigre has become my go-to destination.

🌟- In the morning, start your journey from Belgrano C train station in Chinatown, heading to Tigre. The scenic ride, which takes about 40 minutes to an hour, sets a leisurely pace for the day.
–
🌟- Upon arrival, make your way to the Tigre Museum. A quick Google search for “Museo Tigre” will guide you there.

This picturesque spot is perfect for snapping some stunning photos, but be aware that it’s closed on Sundays!
– For lunch, choose from any of the charming local eateries around noon. There’s no shortage of delightful options to satisfy your appetite.

🌟- In the afternoon, you have a variety of activities to choose from:
1. Boat Tour 🚢
Opt for a one-hour or two-hour round trip. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the water, and if an hour is all you have, it’s still plenty to see the quaint houses built by the island residents. For those short on time, there are even options to have lunch on the boat, though the food quality might be a bit limited.

Feel free to reach out to me for reservations.
2. Rowing Tour 🚣
This activity requires a bit of physical strength and experience, but it’s incredibly rewarding. As shown in picture 4, I find it quite intriguing, even though I haven’t tried it myself.
3. Island Tour 🏝️
Spend the afternoon on the island, savor a meal, and take a leisurely walk through the small forest.

It’s a unique and refreshing experience. Contact me for reservations.
4. Amusement Park 🎠
The amusement park is particularly lively on weekends, as seen in pictures 14 and 15. It’s a great spot for families with children, offering a similar experience to domestic parks, but with a twist: one of its roller coasters 🎢 runs backward the entire time!

It’s a thrilling and exhilarating ride. There are also additional paid activities, such as a trampoline that launches you high into the air, almost like flying, which add to the excitement.
5. Visit the Tigre Market:
In addition to the many restaurants near the train station, the Tigre Market (search for Puerto de Frutos on Google) is a must-visit.

This vibrant market is filled with small, riverside eateries, and it’s a pleasure to wander around. On weekends, you can enjoy live performances, and don’t miss out on the delicious waffles 🧇, as shown in the last picture!

🙌 Friendly reminder: While Tigre is a beautiful destination, the water could use some cleaning. It’s a bit dirty and smelly, so keep that in mind during your visit.
