How to Go to Antarctica on a Budget: My 30,000 Adventure Tips
Half a year after my return from Antarctica, I’ve noticed a surge in posts from people planning their own Antarctic adventures. Most are budgeting around 100,000 to 150,000 RMB for the cruise ticket alone, which seems quite steep to me! 🔺

Last year, my partner and I embarked on an epic 50-day journey:
Qingdao ✈️ USA ✈️ Panama ✈️ Chile ✈️ Easter Island ✈️ Torres del Paine Glacier Hike 🚌 Big Ice Hike in Argentina ✈️ Ushuaia 🛳️ 13 days in Antarctica ✈️ Argentina ✈️ Iguazu Falls ✈️ Argentina 🚢 Uruguay ✈️ Panama ✈️ Costa Rica ✈️ Return to the USA

⭐ All for a total of 130,000 RMB

◾️I’ve detailed our route because each segment involved significant costs, and we hopped on multiple flights.

Today, I’ll share some insider tips for booking your Antarctic cruise tickets:

1️⃣ Domestic travel agents offer convenience with everything in Chinese, making it easy to understand and communicate.

⭐ If you’re looking for the most budget-friendly option, pay close attention to the next tip.

2️⃣ Open Google Maps, find Ushuaia, and locate local travel agencies. Reach out to them via WhatsApp or email.

✅ The closer you get to the departure date, the lower the prices tend to go.
✅ Don’t be shy; ask frequently, as prices can fluctuate daily.
✅ There are various types of ships. If you’re not particular about the vessel, you have more options. Entering the Antarctic Circle is slightly pricier, but if you don’t have a strong preference, you can skip it, as the sights are similar…
🔺 I’m not sure about this year’s market, but it might be a bit more expensive than last year. Last year, I paid 4,199 RMB, and I think anything under 5,500 RMB is a good deal.
⚠️ In closing, I’ve noticed that many travelers, including my husband in the past, often spend a lot of unnecessary money. This is often due to lack of experience. Even though it’s not my money, I still feel for everyone. Recently, I’ve gained a lot of followers, and I’m here to answer any questions. Feel free to reach out [SelfieR][SelfieR][SelfieR]
