The Bloody Lessons and Critical Insights Brought Back from Argentina
💣 Don’t buy Flybondi tickets just because they’re cheap. They not only change the flight times weeks in advance without notice, but also cancel flights a day before. 🙂 In the end, you can only buy Aerolineas Argentinas tickets on the spot at five times the price. 🙃 If you bought Flybondi tickets on Qunar, be even more careful. Make sure to get a refund as soon as possible if the flight is canceled, otherwise, Qunar will tell you that the refund period has expired. 🙂

💰 Currency Exchange: When you arrive, exchange US dollars for pesos. Initially, I didn’t have enough money exchanged at a Chinese supermarket in Buenos Aires, but surprisingly, the exchange rate at the travel agency in El Calafate where I booked the bus to El Chalten was even better [Crying Laughing]

🔥 Must-Do in Argentina: Iguazu Falls zodiac boat ride, Big Ice (If you’ve come this far, why not suffer a bit? 😇) Must-Eat: Old Captain in Ushuaia

🌟 Iguazu Falls
Key point!! You must go on the zodiac boat ride!! It’s the soul of Iguazu Falls!! Get drenched and take a cold shower [Sneaky Smile]
Take the small train in Figure 2 to the Devil’s Throat in Figure 3. Remember to get your ticket at the train station first. The staff checks very carefully, so you can’t board early.

Our ticket showed we could only board an hour later, so we went to the upper trail first. Walking and running, taking photos, it took about an hour. The Devil’s Throat was just okay, and then we walked the lower trail. Overall, it wasn’t very impressive [Embarrassed Sweat]

🌟 El Calafate – Moreno Glacier
We bravely chose the Big Ice and didn’t even consider the Mini Trekking. Before: How hard could it be? After: Never been so hard [Crying Face]
First, we walked on the boardwalk (Figure 4) and took a boat to see the glacier. The whole journey was peaceful and beautiful.

After getting off the boat, we put on the equipment in Figure 5. I thought, “This looks pretty professional?” Then the intense training started unexpectedly [Scared Face]
The Big Ice is a real special forces-style hike, almost non-stop for 6 hours. We even learned how to use safety ropes to climb cliffs.

Gravel, sand, dirt, ice, all kinds of slopes, plus strong winds and rain, it was a full-on challenge. The crampons were very heavy, and I was either about to twist my ankle or fall on the ice. On the way back, I lost my balance and paid a big bow to the ice, and my knee got a nice bruise [Bye Bye]

🌟 El Chalten
You must book the double-decker bus in advance! We booked late and missed the beautiful view from the front row [Disappointed Face] But the seats can almost lie flat, very comfortable [Cute Face] After yesterday’s devilish training, I thought, “What else can be hard?” Wearing a Patagonia T-shirt, I headed straight for Fitz Roy. Without a coach pushing me, I stopped and started, and probably only climbed less than a third [Laughing Out Loud]
🌟 Ushuaia
Figure 14 – The legendary Old Captain King Crab is a must-try! It’s absolutely delicious, and the cod is equally fantastic! [Thumbs Up]
Feria de Artesanos Handicraft Market is a charming spot where you can find exquisite wooden fridge magnets. Unfortunately, we arrived late and the selection was limited [Sigh].
Don’t miss out on getting a unique stamp at the tourist center nearby for a memorable keepsake [Side Eye].
Head to the local supermarket and indulge in some of the sweetest and most succulent cherries you’ll ever taste!
❌ Tierra del Fuego National Park, unfortunately, is not worth the visit. You might end up regretting it if you go!
