Ushuaia Roaming Guide: Explore Glacier Hiking & Feel the Patagonian Wind 🏔️
If you yearn for the end of the world, Ushuaia is a place you cannot miss! It is located at the southernmost tip of the South American continent and is known as “the end of the world.” Glaciers, snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests… its beauty seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale.

📍Day1 Buenos Aires-Ushuaia
✈️Flight: 15:10-19:00
🚗Car Rental: Alamo rental point at the airport, automatic transmission 98,000 pesos/day, including insurance and fuel
🍴Dinner: El Viejo Marino (Old Captain) restaurant, the seafood stew is delicious, other dishes are quite average
📸Sightseeing: Lower Mission Neighborhood, taking photos of the Ushuaia port during the blue hour, it’s so beautiful!

📍Day2 Ushuaia Day Trip
🌅Tierra del Fuego National Park: Drive into the park at 6:30 AM, before 7:30 AM when the ticket office is not yet open, entrance is free (otherwise 42,000 pesos), the scenery is great but very spread out, renting a car is worth it! After 9 AM, you can go to the Alakush Visitor Center, which has a café and restrooms
☕Lunch: First, check-in at the penguin wall, then have lunch at Tanta Sara Café Bar nearby, the burgers are super large
🛒Shopping: Restock at Carrefour supermarket, buy snacks and drinks needed for the boat (bought 3 bottles of Coke and some corn chips, haha)
🏔Afternoon: Martial Glacier hike, entrance fee 10,000 pesos, round trip 3 hours, many flowers blooming on the mountain, the green moss is too cute!

🚗Evening: Return the car on the main street, go home for dinner

✅Tips:
1️⃣Rental cars can be rented with a translated driver’s license, reservations can be made in advance
2️⃣Large temperature differences between day and night, strong winds, bring enough clothes
3️⃣Sunscreen is essential, UV rays are extremely strong
4️⃣Try to exchange more cash in Buenos Aires, paying in cash directly at the guesthouse is usually more advantageous
