A Day in Palm Cove, Cairns: Ultimate Travel Guide for Beach Lovers
On my final day in Cairns, I had grand plans to go skydiving, but alas, the allure of my cozy bed proved too strong 😅. I snoozed until noon, and by then, my options were pretty limited. After some deliberation, I decided to venture out to Palm Cove. Given that I was staying in the city, Palm Cove was quite a distance away.

We opted for a taxi, which set us back 45🔪 one way, making the round trip nearly 500 yuan 😓. To make matters worse, hailing a taxi in Cairns is no easy feat. On our way there, we managed to snag a DiDi, but on the return journey, we could only find an Uber. So, if you have the luxury of time, I highly recommend taking the bus instead.

Our taxi dropped us off at Nunu restaurant, right in the heart of the famous coconut tree-lined promenade. However, the reality was a bit underwhelming—nothing spectacular, really, and it reminded me a lot of Sanya 😂. Apart from the picturesque palm trees and the opportunity to snap some seaside photos, there wasn’t much else to see or do.

And with the overcast skies, getting those perfect shots was even more challenging. The sea, unfortunately, paled in comparison to Melbourne’s stunning coastline.

In the end, the trip just didn’t feel worth the cost. If you’re staying far from Palm Cove, it might be best to skip this excursion and explore other, more captivating destinations.
