Brisbane Fine Dining Experience: Agnes Ranks Second in Gourmet Exploration
When on a business trip to Brisbane, it’s essential to explore the local hotspots. After dining at this highly recommended restaurant, I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations! Sending love to my internet-famous best friend for the fantastic suggestion! ♥️

This restaurant is notoriously difficult to book, but the service is genuinely top-notch. Since I was unfamiliar with the area, I only reserved a table for myself in advance. On the day of the reservation, two colleagues decided to join me, and when I called, the staff kindly accommodated the last-minute addition of two more seats.

The interior boasts a dark, industrial style, which adds a unique ambiance to the dining experience. The dim lighting had me wondering if anyone would stumble, hahaha [laugh-cry emoji]. The wine collection is truly impressive, featuring over 1400 bottles! What sets this place apart is their commitment to using only wood fire for cooking, eschewing electricity or gas.

Every dish carries the distinct aroma of charcoal, bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients in a way that I haven’t experienced in a long time.

Their menu changes regularly, keeping the dining experience fresh and exciting. Out of the ten dishes I tried, the raw beef with buttered toast, roasted lamb shoulder, and sautéed leek were absolute standouts. The charcoal-grilled pumpkin (the photo was too dark to post) evoked a nostalgic feeling, reminding me of childhood.

I had never eaten quail before, but under my colleague’s strong recommendation, I gave it a try, and it turned out to be quite delightful! [laughing emoji] The chocolate mousse dessert (photo 4) was an unexpected delight! I’m not usually a fan of chocolate, but this dessert was perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, with a hint of saltiness, and a smooth, creamy texture.

It was so good that I finished every last bite [laugh-cry emoji] Highly recommended!
