Discover Brisbane’s Legendary High-Energy Attractions and Nightlife Spots
Refresh Zone 🪄: Take a leisurely stroll by the lake, and you’ll feel completely rejuvenated [sly smile R].

Antique motorcycle enthusiasts, head to Old Petrie Town, located near two picturesque lakes, just a 40-minute drive 🚗 north from the CBD:

📍Joyner Park, Lake Samsonvale (also known as Bullocky Rest)

📍Mick Hanfling Park, Lake Kurwongbah (the famous Lakeside Park “test track” is on the other side of this lake)

First, let’s dive into Lake Samsonvale. Most of the stunning photos you see are from here. The lake is vast and breathtaking; simply set your GPS to Joyner Park. You’ll find ample parking, and the area is dotted with picnic tables 🧺 and several BBQ stations 🍖. Bringing a picnic mat to relax by the water 🧘🏻♀️ is a fantastic way to soak in the beauty.

On weekends, the place can get busy, but the expansive area means you can still find plenty of personal space. If you’re planning a BBQ, it’s wise to arrive early to secure a spot.

Last week, I even spotted some pelicans and a group of black swans 🦢, though they were quite shy, so we could only admire them from a distance (a gentle reminder: please don’t feed the wildlife).

Next, head to Lake Kurwongbah. Set your navigation to Mick Hanfling Park, just a five-minute drive 🚗 from the previous location. This park is a bit smaller but equally charming, with good parking and the added bonus of kayaking 🚣 and canoeing opportunities.

It’s worth noting that the famous Lakeside Park “test track” 🏎️🏍️ is on the other side of Lake Kurwongbah. Just set your GPS to 📍Lakeside Park, and you’ll see its layout on Google Maps. Car enthusiasts, this is a must-visit! Check the event schedule 📅 on the official website (as shown in the last photo) for more details.
I often think that if Brisbane were a game map 🗺️, these scenic spots would be the health recovery points ⛲️. Take a moment to recharge, and you might discover some unexpected rewards [sly smile R].
