Discover Hobart: Australia’s Southernmost Nordic-Inspired Gem
Since we couldn’t rent a car, our adventures were limited to the city this time, but that didn’t stop us from exploring some incredible spots.

Photo 1 and Photo 5: The Virtual Hobart Town at the dock is a must-see. You can easily hop in a taxi to reach The Drunken Admiral restaurant, which comes highly recommended. Once you step inside, you’ll understand why—it’s an experience not to be missed, especially if you enjoy a good milk tea!

Photo 2: We took a leisurely stroll from the city center to Battery Point. The journey was filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers and the serene, laid-back vibe of the community. As we passed through Parliament Square, the artistic atmosphere provided a wonderfully relaxing ambiance.

Photo 3-4: Little Greece and The Lady Franklin Gallery are just a short ten-minute drive from the city center. Navigating to Ancanthe Park, we stumbled upon a brochure at the visitor center that led us to this charming spot. A quick taxi ride, and we were there, immersed in the beauty and culture.

Photo 8-9: The Royal Botanical Gardens, also a ten-minute drive away, offer a tranquil escape. Don’t miss the small, enchanting Japanese garden nestled within; it’s a hidden gem that’s well worth the visit.

Photo 10-11: Cascade Brewery, another highlight of our trip, is a place where history and flavor come together.
