Explore Tropical Rainforest: Ultimate Kuranda Scenic Railway Adventure
Thank heavens! Cairns, which is usually drenched in the rainy season, finally blessed us with a glorious, sunny day. We eagerly boarded the long-awaited Kurnda Scenic Railway, and along the way, we were greeted with warm smiles and waves from local kindergarten children and residents, making the journey even more memorable.

The scenic ride lasts for 1 hour and 45 minutes, with a 10-minute photo stop at the breathtaking Barron Falls and the majestic Grand Canyon.

🎫: We booked our tickets online in advance and managed to snag a fantastic half-price deal for around $34.
Boarding point: Upon arriving at the train station, head straight to the ticket hall to pay. The friendly staff will kindly remind you to pick up the guidebook, which also comes in a Chinese version.

📷: According to safety rules, it’s not allowed to stick your body out of the window, as it can be dangerous when encountering tree branches or tunnels. However, during turns, you can quickly snap some photos after carefully observing your surroundings. Just be mindful if you have a larger head like mine!

🏁 End point: Once you arrive at the station, take some time to capture beautiful photos on the platform. There’s also a charming souvenir shop nearby, and just a short walk away, you can visit the Indigenous village, offering a rich cultural experience.
