Just Landed in Sydney and Was Shocked by the High Cost of Living 🤯

For those of us who call one of the world’s most expensive cities home, the prices in Australia can be nothing short of jaw-dropping! (To clarify, it’s the income-to-cost-of-living ratio that makes things tough. Singapore is indeed a challenge, and Hong Kong isn’t far behind.)

For those earning Australian dollars, it might be manageable, but for the average low-income individual from Singapore, the transportation costs are absolutely staggering 😱😱. A half-hour ride that initially seemed pricey at 70 AUD quickly turned into a nightmare when we took a wrong turn, racking up a total of 146 AUD.

Thankfully, the driver was kind enough to refund part of the difference, but the overall cost still left us reeling 😅😅😅. I genuinely wonder, how do students really make ends meet here 😱😱😱?
