🚞Ronda-Granada RONDA➡️GRANADA
Figures 17-18 showcase the charming Ronda train station, which opens its doors at 7:30. To embark on your journey, purchase your tickets on the Renfe official website, with a transfer at ANTEQUERA-S.ANA. Upon arrival, disembark and head to platform 4 for the train to Granada.

The attentive staff will check your ticket and remind you to change platforms; they’ll even give you a friendly nudge as you approach the stop, ensuring you won’t miss your connection. With a 19-minute transfer time, you’ll have plenty of leeway, and in the rare event of a delay, the next train will be adjusted accordingly.

While the Renfe carriages may show their age compared to the sleek Iryo trains, Renfe’s extensive network spans the entire country, whereas Iryo is primarily found in major cities.

🏠D5: Alhambra Palace – Albaicín Old Town – San Nicolás Viewpoint
1. The crown jewel of Granada, the breathtaking Alhambra (Figures 1-8), demands advance planning. As soon as your visa is confirmed, secure your Alhambra tickets about a month in advance. Without them, a visit to Granada would be incomplete.

The time on your ticket is for entry into the Nasrid Palaces, so punctuality is key—arrive 15 minutes early at the Puerta de la Justicia, the closest gate to the palaces. Once inside, head straight to the Nasrid Palaces, as other areas have no strict time limits. If you arrive with extra time, feel free to explore the other palaces first.

2. Follow the winding, cobblestone paths through the enchanting Albaicín district, leading you to the picturesque San Nicolás Viewpoint (Figure 10). In the evening, this spot buzzes with energy, filled with visitors eager to soak in the stunning views.

🍴El Huerto de Juan Ranas (Figures 11-16)
Nestled beside the San Nicolás Viewpoint, El Huerto de Juan Ranas offers an unparalleled dining experience. With a prime location facing the majestic Alhambra and overlooking the city of Granada, this restaurant allows you to savor the splendor of medieval Moorish architecture.

Indulge in a glass of sangria and relish the sunset, watching the sky transform into a canvas of twilight hues. Though the prices are on the higher side, the restaurant is less crowded, making it easy to walk in and still enjoy a magnificent view.
