My Biggest Impressions of Santiago!!!

First off, the food here is incredibly affordable! 🙌 I’ve only been in town for two days, but I’ve already indulged in three lavish meals. Each time, I end up ordering way too much because the portions are so generous. I hate to waste anything, but I always find myself overeating—it’s just too delicious to resist!

Secondly, there’s a Chinese restaurant called Shuxiang, and its decor absolutely blew my mind! 🤯 The attention to detail and the vibrant atmosphere were truly something else. It felt like stepping into a different world.

Third, I have to say, the city itself is quite charming in its old-world charm, but the public transport system isn’t the most tourist-friendly. You need to go to a counter to buy and recharge your travel cards; you can’t just use the machines. Plus, English isn’t widely spoken, so I’ve had to rely on all the sign language and eye contact I can muster to get by. 😅

Lastly, I haven’t hit the gym in five days, and after two days of non-stop feasting, I can definitely feel the pounds creeping on. 😅 This place really knows how to take care of its visitors! I haven’t even started exploring the city or planned my trip to Easter Island yet, but at this rate, I’ll be packing on the pounds and might end up despising myself by the end of the vacation. 🤦♀️
