How to Enjoy a Budget-Friendly Half-Day Tour in Santiago, Chile in Spring
Summary: The skies poured for three long days 😿, and the one glorious sunny day just happened to be Red Day (a Chilean holiday) ⛪️. Naturally, all the churches and 🏛️ museums were closed, adding a touch of irony to the situation 😂.

🗺️ Transportation
We attempted to drive out but got stuck in a sea of cars during rush hour 🚗. In the city, the subway is your best friend 🚇, and you’ll need to grab a metro card to hop on board.

🏢 Presidential Palace La Moneda
Catch a glimpse of the 🦄 guard parade in the morning, and on weekends, you might even witness some lively demonstrations 👊.

🗼 Torre Entel
This telecommunications and TV broadcast tower offers a stunning observation deck with panoramic views from the top.

🔫 Arms Square
One of the most bustling tourist spots in the city, where you can explore the 🚪 Santiago Cathedral, the 🏛️ Natural History Museum, and snap a photo at the iconic STGO check-in spot.

🎨 National Museum of Fine Arts
Just an 800-meter stroll northeast from Arms Square 🚶, and you’ll find yourself immersed in the world of art and culture.

⛰️ Virgin Mountain & Cable Car 🚡
This is a must-visit when the sun is shining ☀️!
🧭 Navigation: Start at Teleférico Parque Metropolitano – Estación Oasis, and pass through the upscale eastern district to reach the 🚡 cable car entrance. The round-trip ticket to the summit costs 4380 pesos. At the top, you’ll be greeted by the serene church of the Virgin and Jesus, and along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the affluent areas of Santiago, the towering Cenco Costanera skyscraper 🏙️, and the majestic Andes Mountains in the distance 🏔️.

▪️ During winter, darkness falls around 5 or 6 PM, so it’s wise to avoid venturing out alone after nightfall.
