In the Atacama Desert of northern Chile, a place so arid it holds the title of the driest spot on Earth.

This extreme dryness makes the Atacama’s geological environment strikingly similar to that of Mars. In fact, many of NASA’s Mars mission instruments have been rigorously tested in this otherworldly landscape.

Additionally, the desert’s high altitude means minimal light pollution and radio interference, making it one of the world’s premier locations for astronomical observations.

🌟It’s highly recommended to visit after 4 PM. There are four trails to explore, and after your hike, you can head to the last two viewpoints to witness a breathtaking sunset 🌄.

🌟If you don’t have a car, no worries! The center of San Pedro is bustling with travel agencies offering a wide range of activities and guided tours.
