How to Navigate Santiago After a Power Outage: Best Tips for December Travelers
Just half a month after my return from Chile, I was shocked to learn that 98% of the population had been plunged into darkness due to a nationwide power outage. The government declared a state of disaster and imposed a curfew!

My memories of South America remain vivid. As the most developed country in the region, I have no doubt that 🇨🇱 will bounce back quickly from this unexpected crisis!

Before my trip, people warned me that Santiago was a city where no 📱 could be left unattended. Initially, I only felt safe taking out my phone for photos when standing next to a police car. However, after just two days, I completely relaxed, exploring the vibrant neighborhoods while sipping on refreshing peach barley juice.

I adored Santiago’s pleasantly mild summer,
a perfect blend of modernity and bustling street life.
The city is brimming with young, loving couples, creating a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Without even looking up, you can see the majestic, snow-capped Andes mountains towering at an altitude of 5000 meters.
I can’t wait for the day when I reunite with this enchanting continent!
