So, how much does it cost to go to Easter Island?
– Airfare
Currently, only LATAM Airlines flies from Santiago, Chile, to Easter Island.
Summer originally thought a one-way ticket would be $400 and a round trip $800. However, after a reminder from a friend (see image 2, we should give him a million likes!

By switching the official website location to Chile and the currency to Chilean pesos, the flight from Santiago to Easter Island on October 21st instantly became 1200 RMB! The price was halved!
Flying from China to Santiago, for example, departing at the end of October, with a round trip from Shanghai to Santiago including two layovers, 12000 RMB is a price that can often be obtained: (see image 3)
– Accommodation on Easter Island
High-end hotels: No upper limit
Mid-range hotels: 2000 RMB/night
Holiday cabins: The most popular type of accommodation on the island, with a kitchen included, 1000-1500 RMB/night
Economy hotel rooms: 500 RMB/room, suitable for 2 people
Campsites: 150 RMB/site, some even include tents and sleeping bags.
– Is food expensive on Easter Island?
Packaged food sold in supermarkets is about 2-3 times the price in mainland Chile (and prices in Chile are already high!).
If you combine cooking your own meals with eating out, the daily food budget per person is approximately 200 RMB.
– Next, the cost of entering the island!
As a tourist, you need to buy a ticket to enter the island. It costs $80 per person, and $40 for children.
After Easter Island reopened in August 2022, all attractions on the island require hiring a guide for visits.
A guided day tour to see the giant stone heads: 420 RMB/person
– What about transportation on Easter Island?
Renting a small off-road vehicle (like a Suzuki Jimny): 600 RMB/day
Small motorcycle: 250 RMB/day
Bicycle/mountain bike: 120 RMB/day
For a 5-day trip to Easter Island, including airfare, accommodation, transportation, and food:
– From China to Chile: 12000 RMB/person
– From Chile to Easter Island: 4000 RMB/person
– 5 days of accommodation: 1500 RMB/person
– 5 days of food: 1000 RMB/person
– 5 days of transportation (2 days with a guide to see the stone heads, 3 days of free travel): 1500 RMB
The total cost per person for a trip to Easter Island: 20000 RMB.
