👉🏻I’ve explored nine stunning grasslands in Yili, and based on their scenic beauty, here’s my ranking:

👉🏻1. Top Beauty
Shata, Nalati, Kalajun

👉🏻In my opinion, these three grasslands are the crown jewels of Yili. Despite some debate over Nalati and Kalajun—primarily due to their high ticket prices—I firmly believe that their natural splendor far surpasses that of any free alternatives.

👉🏻Nalati is a true gem, blending the best features of Tangbula, Kalajun, and Kuerdening. It boasts picturesque river valleys teeming with cattle and sheep, expansive aerial grasslands, and the enchanting Panlong Ancient Road winding through dense forests.

👉🏻Kalajun’s allure lies in its hidden beauty, accessible only by hiking. The 5-kilometer trek from Huaxi Platform to Falcon Platform, or the journey from Kalajun to Qiongkushitai, reveals breathtaking vistas along the way, making the effort well worth it.

👉🏻Shata holds a special place in my heart. I’ve visited it three times, and each visit has left me in awe. This grassland is uniquely close to snow-capped mountains, rivers, and forests, and even in July and August, you can still catch a glimpse of the majestic peaks.

👉🏻2. Very Beautiful
Qiasxi, Qiongkushitai, Tangbula

👉🏻These three grasslands would be considered spectacular if they were located in more inland areas. However, when compared to Shata, Nalati, and Kalajun, they fall just a bit short. While they may not offer that immediate, jaw-dropping impact, they are undeniably beautiful.

👉🏻Among these, Qiasxi stands out for its rich and refined landscapes, making it my personal favorite in this category.
👉🏻3. Also Beautiful
Kuerdening, Aketas, Tarim
👉🏻If you’ve already experienced the first six grasslands, these three might seem a bit more ordinary and monotonous. However, if you start your journey with these, you’ll still find them incredibly beautiful, easily outshining many 5A-rated scenic spots in other regions.
👉🏻PS: This ranking is purely based on my personal experience. As the saying goes, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” Everyone has their own definition of beauty, so if your views differ, that’s perfectly normal.
